    Be- ware that external DC power connections will charge batteries Versions of the IC-F4SR which display “CE” on the serial number inside the battery case. This will damage not only the battery seal, comply with the essential requirements of the 89/336/EEC case but also the transceiver.

    U.K. version with battery pack and all versions with battery case do not include a wall charger. The use of non-Icom battery packs/chargers may impair transceiver performance and invalidate the warranty. Even when the transceiver power is OFF, a slight current still flows in the circuits.
