tus, Statistics, and Setup, each of which have sub menus (except the version screen). The

4.1.1

Status Menu

Upon booting, the Version screen in briefly displayed then switched to the Status Menu.
The Status Menu shows the current status of each of the eight possible metadata programs.
Note that if the Vref signal is not present, no metadata values will be displayed.
Pressing the Down arrow will step through each of the eight possible metadata programs.
Active programs are determined by the Program Config setting, and any program that is
not currently being used will have dashes (----) in place of metadata values.
NOTE:
Pressing the Right (Next) key while in any of the eight metadata status menus will immediately allow
access to recalling Preset 1. This is useful for fast reversion of the unit to a known good set of metadata
parameters.
4.1.2

Statistics Menu

The Statistics menu provides details about the signals applied to the unit:
Errors: Count of metadata framing, CRC, and Receive errors. While the LA-5180 will
correct these errors prior to outputting a metadata stream, it is useful to know the con-
dition of the applied signals to aid in troubleshooting.
Input Signal Presence indicated by an asterisk (*): MD In V(VANC) or R(RS-485);
AES; Vrf (video reference); and LTC (timecode)
[AMAS Status (Closed/Open) E- W-] - Indicates if AMAS application is connected to
LA-5180 and if (and on the second line, how many) errors or warnings have been re-
corded. These counters can be reset by simply pressing the Next (Right arrow) key.
Firmware Version: Shows current version
Device options: Indicates any factory installed options (none for LA-5180)
