Installing the RF Manager

Powering Up and Shutting Down

Caution
The RF Manager is powered on when it is connected to a power source.
To shut down RF Manager, always use either the keypad and LCD display, located on the
front of the RF Manager, or the Command Line Interface (CLI). This is particularly important
during initial bootup. Do not shut down RF Manager by disconnecting its power.
See Shutting Down, in the Additional Configuration chapter of the HP ProCurve RF Manager
and Sensors Management and Configuration Guide.

Installation Precautions

Take these precautions when installing the RF Manager.
Warnings
The rack or cabinet should be adequately secured to prevent it from becoming unstable and/or
falling over.
Units installed in a rack or cabinet should be mounted as low as possible, with the heaviest
