Connecting the Electrical Supply
The electrical supply must be 120 volt, 60 Hz, 12 ampere,
properly grounded. Connect with copper wire only.

Grounding Instructions

This appliance must be connected to a grounded metal
permanent wiring system; or an equipment grounding
conductor must be run with the circuit conductors and

connected to the equipment grounding terminal or lead
on the dishwasher. The dishwasher must be properly
grounded before operating. Make sure that the
dishwasher is connected to a suitable ground in
compliance with the NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE,
in the United States, or the CANADIAN ELECTRIC
CODE C22.1-latest edition, in Canada as well as any
provincial/state or municipal or local codes that apply.

After completing wiring and testing, be sure that wires
are pressed back into the terminal box and then securely
fasten the terminal box cover toe panel in place using
screws from accessory package. See Figures 2 and 16.
Integrated Panel Installation, DWI246Model
If you have an DWI model, an integrated model, you
will have additional mounting hardware and a folded
template sheet with installation instructions comprised
of pictograms.
The black and white models of the integrated series,
models DWI246UB and DWI246UW have a control
panel that is
5-5/16" (135 mm) tall. The units come with an extension
piece that is attached to the control panel. The extension
piece allows the control panel to be extended up to an
extra 13/16" (21 mm). With the extension piece pulled
down to the maximum position, the total control panel
height would be 6-1/8" (156 mm). The purpose of this
extension piece is to allow you to match the control
panel height to the horizontal line created by the drawer
bottom on the cabinets. See Figure 18.
