Hi, we recently bought your 6248 radio for testing our software in a real marine environment. Our software transcripts audio signals (voices, speach, etc.) in a text format on a computer screen. Therefore: We would need the audio from the microfone and the earphone separately. Can we get a plan for the pins in the existing sockets? Thank you! Rudolf

The pinout diagram for the microphone and earphone sockets of the SAILOR 6248 VHF radio is not included in the provided context. However, it is mentioned that detailed system configuration examples, including cable specifications, can be found in the SAILOR 6248 VHF Installation Manual (document number 98-133233). You may need to refer to this installation manual for the required pinout details.

You can test audio signals with the SAILOR 6248 VHF radio by using it in daily communication on board. This ensures that the radio is functioning properly. Additionally, the radio can replay the last 240 seconds of received voice messages, which helps verify audio reception and minimize misunderstandings. Connecting external audio equipment like handsets or speakers via the SAILOR connection boxes can also support audio testing.
