Mounting The Hood

1.
Hook the body onto the hood mounting brackets.
2.
Balance the hood by adjusting the mounting brackets. Gently lower the hood until it securely
engages the bracket.
3.
Attach the backdraft damper aps to the exhaust outlet at the top of the unit.
4.
Be sure that the damper is rmly attached while the aps can move freely.
5.
Attach ductwork to the unit with screws that are included on the two sides of the exhaust outlet.
Connecting the Hood
1.
Decide the pathway of the ductwork connecting the ventilation unit to the exterior of the house.
2.
The shorter and straighter the ductwork, the better the unit will perform.
3.
Longer runs, elbows, transitions and other modi cations will reduce the performance of the
hood. Larger diameter ducts may be required for optimal performance with longer ducts.
4.
Attach an adequate length of 6" diameter duct to the exhaust outlet of the unit.
5.
Do not exhaust into a shaft, ue, or pipeline that is being used to exhaust the fumes from
other appliances burning gas or other fuels.
6.
Install a roof or wall cap on the exterior of the house. Connect round metal ductwork to cap
and work backwards towards hood location. Use duct tape to seal the joints between sections.

Electrical Connection

1.
Electrical wiring must be done by a quali ed professional in accordance with all applicable
codes and standards. Turn off electrical power at service panel before wiring.
2.
Do not extend the cord with an extension cord or splitter that is not supplied with the hood.
3.
Grounding of this product is compulsory. Do NOT remove ground prong of the plug.
Telescopic Chimney
1.
Attach the inner telescopic chimney sleeve on to the top wall bracket. It can be secured with
two screws (included) from both sides.
2.
Attach the outer telescopic chimney sleeve into the recessed area at the top of the hood.
3.
Secure the outer telescopic chimney sleeve with three screws (included) from the inside of
the hood body.
