8.29.1. Assembly of Switch Regulator IC
(IC5701)
Step 1 : Apply grease to Heat Sink Unit B.
Step 2 : Mount the Switch Regulator IC (IC5701) onto the
SMPS P.C.B..
Caution : Ensure all pins are seated properly.
Step 3 : Fix 1 screw to attach the Switch Regulator IC (IC5701)
to the Heat Sink Unit B.
Step 4 : Solder the pins of the Switch Regulator IC (IC5701) on
the reverse side of the SMPS P.C.B..
Caution : Before soldering, ensure all pins are properly seated
and no 'floating' of pins.
8.30. Replacement of Switch
Regulator Diode (D5702)
• Follow the (Step 1) - (Step 6) of Item 8.3
• Follow the (Step 1) - (Step 11) of Item 8.4
• Follow the (Step 1) - (Step 6) of Item 8.21
• Follow the (Step 1) - (Step 4) of Item 8.28
Step 1 : Desolder pins of Switch Regulator Diode (D5702) on
reverse side of SMPS P.C.B..
Step 2 : Desolder pins of Heat Sink Unit B.
Step 3 : Remove 1 screw from Switch Regulator IC (IC5701).
Step 4 : Remove Heat Sink Unit B in the direction of arrows.
Step 5 : Remove 1 screw from Switch Regulator Diode
(D5702).
Step 6 : Remove Switch Regulator Diode (D5702) from the
Heat Sink Unit B.
Caution : Avoid touching the Heat Sink Unit B during
replacement due to its hight temperature as it may lead to
injuries/shock.
