SOLAR SYSTEM FILLING

IMPORTANT! After fixing the hot water tank to the structure and completing installation of the solar heat-
ing system, firstly the DHW secondary circuit must be completely filled and pressurised. Then fill the solar
primary circuit with water/glycol mixtures using the connection for the solar circuit safety valve (E). Add
the mixture until all the air has come out the circuit, then fit the solar circuit safety valve (supplied). The
quantity of glycols supplied as standard is suitable for systems installed in places where the temperature
can drop to - 10°C. For lower temperatures add glycols, referring to the table below:

For safety reasons only carry out the filling operation when the sun is not shining or after covering the
collectors.
ATTENTION
Only use the recommended antifreeze liquid.
Use a thermostatic mixer to keep the temperature of the mixed water sent to the duty point constant and
to avoid scalding users.
In case of risk of frost, drain all the water from the hot water tank and connected pipes and put the system
out of service or make sure the heating element is correctly fed and that its thermostat is correctly set.

Make sure that any hot liquid or steam escaping from the cavity safety valve does not cause injury
or damage. If necessary, suitably duct the discharge.
