INITIAL USE INSTRUCTIONS

ADDING ENGINE OIL
The generator is shipped
1. Loosen the cover screw and remove the maintenance cover.
MAINTENANCE COVER
2. With the generator in a level position, remove the oil filler cap/
dipstick.
3. Add enough SAE 10W-30 API service category SJ or later oil to bring
the oil level to the upper limit of the oil filler neck. SAE 10W-30 oil is
recommended for general use; for additional recommendations, see
page 28 .
Do not overfill engine with oil.
oil may be transferred to the air cleaner housing and air filter.
4. Screw in the oil filler cap/dipstick securely.

5. Reinstall the maintenance cover.
