11 Configure the settings relating to images and audio [Image/Audio]
11.5 Adjust the angular field of view using the extra
zoom function
Click the [Setup>>] button of "Extra zoom" on the [Image quality] tab of the "Image/Audio" page. (®page 85)
It is possible to adjust the angular field of view using the extra zoom function.
•
: Click this button to adjust the zoom ratio to the "Wide" side.
•
: Click this button to set the zoom ratio to x1.0.
•
: Click this button to adjust the zoom ratio to the "Tele" side.

Note
•
When "2 mega pixel [16:9]" is selected for "Image capture mode", the maximum zoom ratio is x3.0.
•
When "1.3 mega pixel [16:9]" or "1.3 mega pixel [4:3]" is selected for "Image capture mode", the
maximum zoom ratio is x2.0.
•
When "3 mega pixel [4:3]" is selected for "Image capture mode", the maximum zoom ratio is x3.2.
IMPORTANT
•
The extra zoom function may not be activated on the appropriate position if the setting for the function
is performed after the settings for the mask areas (®page 92), privacy zone (®page 97), VMD area
(®page 110), VIQS area (®page 99), cropping area (®page 120), picture in picture cropping area
(®page 121). To prevent this, perform the setting for the extra zoom function before other settings.

When using the lens distortion compensation function, if the extra zoom function is used, the lens
distortion compensation function is disabled.
