Testing (fingertip)

After getting a result

Once you have your result, you may:
Attach an after-meal flag to this result; see page 24,
or,
Review your meter memory by pressing
or,
Turn the meter off by removing the test strip.

Removing the used lancet

Remove the lancing device cap.
Place the lancet protective cover
on a hard surface and push the
lancet tip into the cover.
Remove the lancet and place it
in a container for sharp objects.
Replace the blue/black cap.

Disposing of the used lancet and test strip

Used test strips and lancets may be considered
biohazardous waste in your area. Make sure you
follow your local regulations for proper disposal.
