Important
• Check all connections and systems before
final installation.
• Do not use unauthorized parts. The use of un-
authorized parts may cause malfunctions.
• Consu It with you r dealer if installation re-
quires drilling of holes or other modifications
of the vehicle.
• Install the unit where it does not get in the dri-
ver's way and cannot injure the passenger if
there is a sudden stop, like an emergency
stop.
• When installing this unit be sure to make suf-
ficient space on its top surface. There is an an-
tenna under the top surface and covering it
may cause trouble to the radio transmission
and reception.
• Depending on the location of this unit some
noise could be heard during playback of the
songs on Bluetooth audio player. In this situa-
tion, move this unit so as to reduce noise.
• When mounting this unit make sure none of
the leads are trapped between this unit and
the surrounding metalwork or fittings.
• Do not mou nt th is unit near the heater outlet
where it wou Id be affected by heat or near the
doors, where rainwater might splash onto it.
• Before drilling any mounting holes always
check beh ind where you want to dri II the
holes. Do not drill into the gas line, brake line,
electrical wiring or other important parts.
• If this unit installed in the passenger compart-
ment anchor it secu rely so it does not break
free wh iIe the veh icle is movi ng, and cause in-
jury or an accident.
• If th is unit is installed under a front seat
make su re it does not obstruct seat move-
ment. Route all leads and cords carefully
around the sliding mechanism so they do not
caught or pinched in the mechanism and
cause a short-circuit.

Installing this unit
Mounting with Velcro fasteners
Thoroughly wipe off the surface before affixing
the Velcro fasteners.
• If the Velcro fasteners (hard) adhere to the
car mat directly, you may install this unit
without using the Velcro fasteners (soft).
• Mount this unit using the Velcro fasten-
ers.

Installing the microphone
A
CAUTION
It is extremely dangerous to allow the micro-
phone lead to become wound around the steer-
ing column or gearstick. Be sure to install the
unit in such a way that it will not obstruct driving.

Install the microphone in a position and orienta-
tion that will enable it to pick up the voice of the
person operating the system.
