When connected to your home tuner (cable box, satellite receiver, digital
tuner, DSL box or VCR), you will be able to schedule recordings manually
or via the ARCHOS TV Program Guide (EPG).
8.1 COnneCTiOn prinCiples

8.2 COnneCTing a Tuner TO yOur arChOs
This shows the basic connection setup of a television source (tuner), the ARCHOS, and
your TV.
1. Your tuner needs to be connected to your home antenna/satellite/cable.
2. Connect your tuner's TV outputs to the ARCHOS' inputs (see diagrams on next
page).
3. The ARCHOS' outputs should already be connected to your TV. If not, see dia-
grams on next page.

If you can still watch TV when the ARCHOS TV
that you have correctly connected the ARCHOS as a pass-through device.

If you cannot watch TV anymore, this means that there is an incorrect connec-
tion. Check the previous connections steps carefully.
