Bass management within the subwoofer
In this example, the loudspeaker outputs of the AV receiver should be connected to the SPEAKER LEVEL IN connec-
tors on the subwoofer using speaker cables. The corresponding loudspeakers (centre and left & right front) should
then be set to LARGE in the AV receiver's menu. Then select SUBWOOFER YES on the AV receiver's menu and
connect the AV receiver SUB OUT to the LINE LEVEL IN socket on the subwoofer. This way, you avoid using the AV
receiver's front channel bass management in order to achieve more dynamic bass and a rich, full soundstage.
The connection of the subwoofer to the main speakers in parallel doesn't additionally load the amplifier, as
the input circuit of the subwoofer only uses the voltage information of the signal and doesn't take any power
out of it.
