Since technical skills and special tools
are required, some operations should
be performed by an authorized Sea-
Doo sport boat dealer.
WARNING
Only perform procedure as de-
tailed in this guide. It is recom-
mended that the assistance of an
authorized dealer be periodically
obtained on other components/
systems not covered in this guide.
Unless otherwise specified, en-
gine must not be running and the
main battery cut-off switch must
be turned OFF for all maintenance
procedures.

Preseason Preparation Chart

NOTE: It is highly recommended that the dealer perform at the same time the
annual safety inspection in addition to the pre-season preparation.
Verify lubrication/corrosion protection
Inspect condition of safety lanyard cap and post
Verify battery condition, charge and reinstall
Verify starter connections and routing ➀
Check engine oil level (add/replace as needed)
Replace fuel filter
Inspect condition of fuel line ➀
Pressure test fuel system ➀
Check fuel system fasteners
Inspect steering system and low-speed steering control system ➀
Inspect throttle/shifter system ➀
Inspect deck drains/bilge pump/drain plugs
Check fire extinguisher condition/mounting ➀
➀ Safety item covered in the annual safety inspection.
CAUTION: Only perform this operation in a well ventilated area. Garden
hose must be installed or boat must be in water to cool engine. Running the
engine without cooling water will damage exhaust hose interior and may
damage engine.
