Section 4 - Configuration
The DNS-340L can send email notifications to a designated email account when specified system events occur. Here you can
specify the email account settings to be used for notifications. Click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the section
to save your current configuration.
Select either Account or Anonymous. Choosing Anonymous
Login Method:
does not require a Username or Password (if your email server
does not require these in order to send emails).
Username:
Enter the appropriate user name for your e-mail account
(Account only).
Password:
Enter the appropriate password for your e-mail account
(Account only).
Port:
Enter the SMTP port number used here.
SMTP Server:
Enter the IP address or domain name of your outgoing mail
server. If you are unsure of this value, contact your e-mail
provider.
Sender E-mail:
Enter the "from" e-mail address to be displayed in email
notifications (e.g. alerts@share.com). This field does not require
a valid e-mail address. However, if your e-mail client is filtering
spam, make sure you allow this address to be received.
