Pinhole Setting: For use with view cameras when used in complete darkness as there is no
shutter control.
200 Setting: Used in combination with 202, 203, and 205 camera models that have been modi-
fi ed for cable-free operation and are used together with F lenses or CF lenses used at the F set-
ting. Do not use the motor drive at rapid sequence and do not use a Flash sync input cable.
H: For H1 and H2 camera models.
Flash Sync Setting: For use with the ArcBody, FlexBody with the Flash sync input cable, view
cameras with the Hasselblad adapter, and 200 camera models that have not been modifi ed with
C lenses in the C mode. Do not use the motor drive at rapid setting.
SWC Setting: Used with 903SWC and 905SWC cameras. You must depress the release button
rapidly to avoid a faulty capture with a magenta cast. You can avoid this problem by using the
Flash Sync setting and use the Flash sync cable to connect the lens to the digital back.
Programming the Camera Model
To program the camera type on the digital back, go to the main Menu and use the navigating
control to go to Settings. Use the navigating control to select Camera. Depress the
buttons to select the camera model. Depress the Exit button to lock the setting. Special
Requirements for CF and CFV Sensor Units on Different Hasselblad Cameras
A Flash sync input cable is necessary when using CF backs on Superwide, ArcBody,
FlexBody, 2000, 2003, 201, 203, and 205 cameras with C type lenses and 500, 501, and 503
model cameras. This cable is also needed with CFV backs on ArcBody, FlexBody, 2000, 2003,
201, 203, and 205 models with C type lenses.
When a 503CW model with a power winder and a CF or CFV digital back is used with
a computer, you must also use exposure cable 503CW. For computer control of EL, ELM, and
ELX models with CF and CFV digital backs you need exposure cable ELX. The above men-
tioned cables are also necessary with CF backs even if used without a computer.
Consult the Hasselblad Web site or the Hasselblad agent in your country for exact details
about using the CF digital back on other makes of medium-format or view cameras.

POWER SUPPLY

The digital sensor unit (digital back) on any Hasselblad camera model needs power even
when used on manually operated camera models. Whether you work in the studio or on loca-
tion, make certain that you have this power available for the entire shooting session.
On H3D Cameras
On H3D camera models, the batteries in the camera's power grip supply the necessary power
to the digital back or, when attached to a computer with the FireWire cable, the power comes
from the computer.
For CF and CFV Digital Backs
When the CF and CFV backs are connected to a computer via FireWire cable attached to the
socket on the side of the digital back, the power comes from the computer eliminating the
