UNPACKING AND CLEANING
Your new double bevel sliding compound mitre saw is shipped complete in a box. Unpack it carefully along with all its spare
parts. Take the protective coating off all the unpainted parts. This protective coating may be removed with a soft cloth mois-
tened with WD40. Do not use acetone, petrol or paint thinner.
IMPORTANT: Do not lift the mitre saw by the operating handle as that could upset the alignments. Always lift the tool by its
base or its carrying handle if it has one.
NB: if any parts are damaged or missing, do not connect the mitre saw and do not set the switch to ON until the damaged or
missing parts have been replaced or obtained and installed correctly.
Do not dispose of the packing box before the saw is fully assembled.
't\: While cleaning the machine after
unpacking, do not use petrol or any other petroleum-based
thinner as these products are extremely flammable. The use
of such products can lead to a risk of explosion or fire. Ge-
nerally, all the solvents used for cleaning machines are toxic
when inhaled or ingested. Always work in a well ventilated
area away from potential sources of solvents. Wear a mask.
The mitre saw is supplied with the cutting arm locked in the
transport position.To unlock the cutting arm, push it down,
pull and turn the locking knob (A) Fig. 1.
