    Operation The J420i card printer can be used with Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP or NT 4.0 operating system, using the drivers provided with the printer.     Other than the recommended cleaning procedures described in this manual, allow only NBS authorised technicians to service Operation the J420i printer.     4.1 Cleaning System General Your J420i printer includes a simple cleaning system using the pre-saturated information cleaning cards provided. The regular use of these cards will clean and maintain important parts of your printer: including the printhead, and transport rollers.

    4.2 Cleaning the Printhead General information Cleaning the printer using the cleaning system with cards usually suffices. However, cleaning the printheads using swabs can remove more stubborn deposits when print anomalies persist. To avoid deposits, only use foam-tipped swabs.
