Heater Operation and Maintenance
WARNING: This heater is a major electrical appliance
and requires adequate electrical connections for safe use.
Plug the heater directly into a wall or floor receptacle.
Plug the electrical cord into a 240 volt receptacle. The plug
should fit tightly into the receptacle for a proper electrical
connection. Power to the unit is indicated by illumination of
the red light.
How To Operate Your Heater
NOTE: Before operating heater, HEATER INSPECTION
AND ASSEMBLY Steps 1 through 3 must be
completed:
"AUTO" SETTING
Choose the High or Low Wattage setting as suggested in
the specification table (page 2).
Set heater to AUTO position.
Completely rotate the thermostat knob
clockwise . When the area reaches the desired tem-
perature level, slowly turn the knob counter clockwise
until a click is heard. If left at this position, the heater will
cycle to maintain the desired temperature setting. If addi-
tional heat is required, adjust the knob to a higher setting.
If less heat is required, adjust the knob to a lower setting.
IMPORTANT!
The fan will delay approximately 20 seconds on startup,
and will continue for approximately 70 seconds after ele-
ments shut off.
"ON" SETTING
The fan can be operated continuously when set to the
"on" position. For cooling or air circulation (when no heat
is desired), turn the thermostat to a low setting by com-
pletely rotating the thermostat knob counter clockwise

Note: If the thermostat is turned to a setting above room
temperature, the elements will turn on and heat the area
until the temperature reaches that set point. Once the
elements go off, the fan will continue to run. This cycle
will continue.
NOTE:
• Keep heater clean and blown free of debris regularly.
• DO NOT CEILING MOUNT UNIT (WILL
BLOCK THE AIR FLOW).
• DO NOT use breaker panel or fuse box or wall thermo
stat to control outlet plug.
RCP Maintenance Instructions
RCP heaters should be cleaned every six months, mini-
mum
1. Disconnect power cord from power supply.
2. Remove front diffuser grill by removing 4 screws. (1
from each corner)
3. Using a compressor, blow air through the outer cabinet
louvers and finned element areas. (Do not touch ele-
ments, whether unit is plugged in or not. Elements have
sharp surfaces) While holding fan blade (to avoid damage
or bending) carefully blow inside fan motor area.
4. Carefully wipe off the fan blade without damaging or
bending it.
5. Re-install front diffuser grill and secure with screws.
6. Re-connect power cord to power supply.
