Before using Slendertone Face please ensure that you have completely re-
moved any make up, creams and oils from your face. You should also
rinse your face with warm water after using make up removal products.
1. To insert or replace the batteries, unscrew the back cover and remove it
(Fig. a). Insert the 3 AAA batteries as indicated and replace the battery
cover.
2. Remove two gel pads from their pack. Carefully remove the blue
cover from one gel pad (Fig. b) and place it on the black area on one of
the paddles as shown in Fig. c. Repeat with a second gel pad, placing it
on the other paddle.
Important: Before putting on your Face headset, make sure the gel pads
completely cover the black areas of the paddles.
3. Connect the controller to the headset as per Fig. d. The controller and
headset must be properly connected for your Slendertone Face product to
work.
4. Then remove the clear plastic covers from the gel pads (Fig. e). Do not
throw these covers away as you will need to put them back onto the gel
pads at the end of your session.
Note: You should only use Slendertone gel pads, as others may reduce
the safety and effectiveness of the product.
5. With the paddles facing forwards, bring the headset around the back
of your neck and lift the paddles upwards, in front of your ears, until the
gel pads sit on your face. When correctly positioned, the paddles should
lie directly below your cheekbones about one finger's width in front of
each ear (Fig. f). Use a mirror to help you position the headset correctly.
Note: Only position the paddles as shown in Fig. f. Don't place them directly
onto the cheekbones, as this can lead to an uncomfortable sensation.

7. Choose your desired programme by pressing the programme button

switch your controller on until you decide to change it.
8. Using the intensity buttons, increase the intensity to a level that is
comfortable for you (Fig. i). The intensity goes from 0-99. You should

increase the intensity until you are able to see small contractions of your
facial muscles. Then reduce the intensity one step at a time until this stops
and enjoy the comfortable sensation. The facial muscles are small and
delicate, so they only need a gentle level of stimulation.
Notes:
- If you find the signal is uncomfortable, check that the gel pads are clean
and that they are correctly positioned on the headset paddles.
Fig. d
- It is not important for the stimulation intensity to be equal on both sides
of the face. It is more important to set the intensity on each side so that
the feeling of stimulation is the same.
Important:
- If you feel a twitching around the eye, or if you feel any discomfort during
a session, just pause the exercise by briefly pressing the on/off button
Fig. e
(the display will show the pause symbol -
slightly lower on your face and resume the session by briefly pressing the on/off button again.
- Some people may experience twitching in their muscles after a session. If this happens, you
should reduce the intensity during your next session. However, if the problem persists beyond
two to three days please consult pages 15-16 of this manual.

your face and replace the clear plastic covers on the gel pads. Leave the gel pads on the paddles
