Installation NSTALLATION OF THE TERMINAL Installation of the base and the equipped interface Set the base down vertically, and insert the columns of the equipped mechanical interface into their respective openings. Operation Transmission with auto redial This function allows you to monitor the dialling operation during a fax transmission. In this case, the maximum transmission rate will be 14400 bps. Maintenance Replacing the Toner Container The following parts must be cleaned each time the toner container and waste toner box are replaced: • Main charger wire • Main charger grid • Advanced beam array lens • Registration roller In addition to this, it is recommended that the main charger wire and registration roller are cleaned periodically at least once a month.

Maintenance Cleaning the Main Charger Unit The main charger units need to be cleaned periodically as they get contaminated after long usage. Each main charger unit comprises two main parts — the wire and the grid — which should be cleaned separately as explained below.

Grid Cleaner Note: The pad of the grid cleaner contains water. Clean the grid quickly so that the pad may not dry off. After cleaning, make sure you restore the main charger unit to its home position. To clean the paper transfer unit, you must use the cleaning cloth included in the toner kit. While pulling the green paper transfer unit release lever, pull out the paper transfer unit.
Maintenance LEANING Cleaning the scanner’s reading devices When one or more vertical lines appear on transmitted copies or faxes, follow these steps: Open the scanner cover by pushing it backwards until held vertically in position Clean transparent scanning windows with a soft, lint-free cloth, dampened with alcohol.
