- Page 3 If the pump fails to offer resistance when pumping, check the umbrella valve (B) on the bottom of the cylinder to Figure 5 make sure that it is in place and sealing. The umbrella valve is removed by pulling it out. Replace the umbrella valve by re-inserting into the hole on the bottom of the cylinder.

I inherited an old Solo 457 pump that has not been used in years. I can't get it to pressurize despite pumping the handle for several minutes. I did see a place on the tank where you can put in a bike pump (schrader valve??). Can this be used to pressurize? I already have 2 gallons of liquid ready to spray in the tank.
