The appliance, when installed, must be electrically con-
nected and grounded in accordance with local codes or,
in the absence of local codes, with the current CSA C22.1
Canadian Electrical Code.
U.S. Installations, follow local codes and the National
Electrical Code, ANSI/NFpA No. 70.
Should this blower require servicing, the power supply
must be disconnected. For rewiring of any replacement
components, refer to the wiring diagram on page 31, and
the parts list on pages 42-43.
The fireplace insert is equipped with a factory installed blower.
Blower Removal/Replacement Instructions - From the Rear
Servicing or removal of the blower system must be performed by
a qualified service person.
If the blower assembly must be replaced, the following steps are
recommended for removal:
1.
Turn off gas and disconnect the electrical supply.
2.
Remove the Decorative Front and Surround from the unit.
See page 28 for more information.
3.
Carefully pull unit away from the wall to gain access to the
venting. Remove venting from the appliance.
4. Pull Insert out of fireplace to gain access to the rear of the
appliance.
5. Remove the two screws securing the bottom flange to the
firebox. See Figure 49.
6. Hand bend the flange so that lays flat. See Figure 49.
7.
Remove blower from appliance and disconnect the wires at
the connectors and discard blower (if applicable).
8.
Install the replacement blower, and re-install the insert by
reversing above steps.

Blower Removal/Replacement Instructions - From the Front
Servicing or removal of the blower system must be performed by
a qualified service person.
If the blower assembly must be replaced, the following steps are
recommended for removal:

Turn off gas and disconnect the electrical supply.
2.
Remove the Decorative Front and Surround from the unit.

3.
If applicable, remove Fireplace Screen. See page 29 for
more information.
4.
Remove Glass Front Assembly. See page 15 for more infor-
mation.
5.
Remove Logs and Embers material. See pages 21 - 28.
6.
Remove the liners. See pages 16 - 17.
11. Remove the two screws securing the pilot to the burner. See
Figure 50.
12. Pull the pilot toward the back of the unit just enough to get
it safely out of the way. See Figure 50. DO NOT disconnect
the pilot.
13. Remove the left and right screws securing the burner to the
firebox. See Figure 51.
