STEP Pulse Specification
DIRECTION SELECT (DIR)
Signal instructing the direction of magnetic head
movement.
The HIGH level indicates the direction
toward the outer tracks and the LOW
~level
indicates
toward the inner tracks.
This signal must be switched definitely
o.all','S
before the trailing edge (positive going) of the
STEP signal.
SIDE SELECT (SSL)
Signal selecting one of the heads used for write or
read.
The HIGH level selects the magnetic head on
the side

of the disk and the LOW level selects
This signal must be switched 100 II s befor start of
the read/write operation.
