PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD LAYOUT AND COMPONENT IDENTIFICATION
To assist you in identifying components, the text identifies each
component with the reference designator found next to the
component on all printed circuit boards.
Reference designators are letter and number combinations that
identify a given component (see Figure 5-1). The letter
designates the kind of component (see Table 5-1).
