Cause
The index sheet is
marked incorrectly.
The index sheet does
not match the photos on
the memory card.
An error occurred during
photo pre-scanning.
An error occurred during
film pre-scanning.
Not enough ink to
perform head cleaning.
There is a problem with
the Epson Stylus
CX7700.
A part on the Epson
Stylus CX7700 needs to
be replaced.
The waste ink pad is

Solution
Remove the index sheet, mark it
correctly, and try again; see page 22.
Remove the memory card and insert the
card used to print the index sheet—or
place the correct index sheet on the
document table. Then press x Start to
continue or y Stop/Clear Settings to
cancel.
Check that the photo is placed correctly
on the document table and try again; see
page 8.
Check that the film is placed correctly in
the film holder and on the document
table, and try again; see page 12.
Install new ink cartridges; see page 41.
Turn the Epson Stylus CX7700 off and
then back on. If the error does not clear,
contact Epson; see page 50.
