SYMPTOM
Engine will not start

PROBABLE CAUSE
Various engine problems
Unit components are frozen. Allow to thaw. If any part of the

Kink in water inlet hose.
Kink in high pressure
discharge hose.
Water inlet screen
obstructed.
Pump sucking air. (Prime
eliminated)
Collar on adjustable nozzle
is not in the high pressure
mode.
Obstructed or worn spray

Unloader/Bypass valve not
operating correctly.
Water temperature is too

REMEDY
Refer to the Engine Manual
accompanying your unit.
unit becomes frozen; excessive
pressure may build up in the
unit which could cause the unit
to burst resulting in possible
serious injury to the operator or
bystanders.
Ensure hose is 3/4" diameter
and incoming water supply is
turned on.
Remove kink.
Replace kinked high pressure
hose.
Remove screen, clean or
replace.
Tighten all water intake
connections Eliminate leaks in
intake line.
Turn Collar clockwise to move to
high pressure
Remove, clean or replace.
Remove, clean or replace.
Replace packings.
Repair or replace.
Do not allow unit to operate in
bypass mode (with the trigger
gun closed) for more than three
minutes.
Replace.
Change pump oil. Fill to proper
level.
