Description
Specifies the IDE configuration mode for IDE
devices.
User allows the cylinders, heads, and sectors
fields to be changed.
Auto automatically fills in the values for the
cylinders, heads, and sectors fields.
Specifies number of disk cylinders.
Specifies number of disk heads.
Specifies number of disk sectors.
Reports the maximum capacity for the hard disk.
Value calculated from number of cylinders, heads,
and sectors.
Specifies number of sectors per block for
transfers from the hard drive to memory.
Check the hard drive's specifications for optimum
setting.
Enables or disables logical block addressing (LBA)
in place of the Cylinders, Heads, and Sectors
fields.
CAUTION
Changing the LBA Mode Control after a hard
drive has been formatted can corrupt data on
the drive.
Specifies method for transferring data between
the hard drive and system memory.
Specifies the ultra DMA mode for the hard drive.
