6. Preventive maintenance
This chapter describes procedures for preventive maintenance for
the printer. Following these recommendations can help prevent
problems and maintain optimum performance.
Lubrication
Warning: Petroleum-based lubricants can attack polycarbonate
parts, causing premature failure. Use only mineral oil-based
lubricants.
The following parts should be lubricated when replaced:

Oil felt (carrier block)

Tractor unit

Side frame (left)

Side frame (right)
•
Pinch roller (lower)
•
Pinch roller spring (left)
•
Pinch roller spring (center)
•
Pinch roller spring (right)
•
Paper separator
