Please note the following safety notes to avoid
malfunctions, damage or physical injury:
 Make sure the voltage corresponds to the type label on the
appliance.
 Never leave the vacuum cleaner unsupervised when in use.
Keep out of reach of children or persons in need of supervision.
Never point the vacuum hose towards persons or animals.
 Do not attempt to use the vacuum cleaner to pick up either liquids
or burning or glowing items such as cigarettes or ashes. Do not
suck sharp objects, toner dust or plaster because the dust can
burn.
 Do not use the device until the dust container and the filter are
inserted correctly.
 Unplug the device while it is not in use. Do not use the vacuum
cleaner on wet surfaces or outdoors. Do not operate the device
or plug with wet hands.
 Use the vacuum cleaner only as described in this manual. Only
use attachments and accessories recommended by Westfalia.
 Do not use the vacuum cleaner, if the power cord has been
damaged. Do not use the device, if it has been dropped, dam-
aged or gotten wet.
 Do not pull the power cord to unplug, but grasp the plug to
remove from the wall outlet. Do not pinch the cord in doors or pull
cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not pinch or crimp the
power cord in any way. Keep the power cord away from hot
surfaces. Make sure that the cord does not become a tripping
hazard.
 Do not block the suction opening. Keep it free of dust, lint, hair,
and anything else that might block the airflow. Keep hair, loose
clothing, fingers and other body parts out of suction opening.
