    GETTING STARTED KEY FOB Locking And Unlocking The Doors/Swing Gate • Press the LOCK button once to lock all the doors and swing gate. Press the UNLOCK button once to unlock the driver’s door only and twice within five seconds to unlock all the doors and swing gate.

    GETTING STARTED REMOTE START • Press the REMOTE START button on the Key Fob twice within five seconds. Pressing the REMOTE START button a third time shuts the engine off. • To drive the vehicle, press the UNLOCK button, insert the key in the ignition and turn to the ON/RUN position.

    GETTING STARTED • A frayed or torn belt could rip apart in a collision and leave you with no protection. Inspect the belt system periodically, checking for cuts, frays, or loose parts. Damaged parts must be replaced immediately. Do not disassemble or modify the system.

    GETTING STARTED WARNING! (Continued) • Supplemental Seat-Mounted Side Air Bags need room to inflate. Do not lean against the door or window. Sit upright in the center of the seat. • Being too close to the Seat-Mounted Side Air Bag during deployment could cause you to be severely injured or killed.
  • Page 14 GETTING STARTED • Loosen the child seat adjusters on the lower straps and tether straps so that you can attach the hook or connector to the lower and tether anchorages more easily. • Attach the lower hooks or connectors over the top of the anchorage bars, pushing aside the seat cover material.
  • Page 15 GETTING STARTED Installing The Child Restraint Using The Vehicle Seat Belts • To install a child restraint, first, pull enough of the seat belt webbing from the retractor to route it through the belt path of the child restraint and slide the latch plate into the buckle.

    GETTING STARTED FRONT SEATS Manual Seat Adjustment Forward/Rearward • Lift up on the adjusting bar located at the front of the seat near the floor and release at the desired position. Height Adjustment • Ratchet the front lever, located on the outboard side of the seat, upward to raise the seat height.

    GETTING STARTED • The front passenger seats have a track memory which returns the seat to just past the halfway point of the track, regardless of its original position. • The recliner and easy entry levers should not be used during the automatic returning of the seat to its fully upright position.

    GETTING STARTED TILT STEERING COLUMN • The tilt lever is located on the steering column, below the turn signal lever. • Push down on the lever to unlock the steering column. • With one hand firmly on the steering wheel, move the steering column up or down as desired.

    GETTING STARTED HEATED SEATS Front Heated Seats • The controls for front heated seats are located near the bottom center of the instrument panel (below the heater/air conditioning controls). • Press the switch once to select High-level heating. Press the switch a second time to select Low-level heating.

    OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS • A long break-in period is not required for the engine and drivetrain (transmission and axle) in your vehicle. • Drive moderately during the first 300 miles (500 km). After the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.

    OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE TURN SIGNAL/LIGHTS LEVER Headlights/Parking Lights/Automatic Headlights • Rotate the end of the lever to the first detent for parking lights , the second detent for headlights and the third detent for AUTO. • When set to AUTO, the system automatically turns the headlights on or off based on ambient light levels.

    OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE WIPER/WASHER LEVER Front Wipers Intermittent, Low And High Operation • Rotate the end of the lever to the first detent position for one of five intermittent settings, the second detent for low wiper operation and the third detent for high wiper operation.
