Storing the Pump
Before storing the pump, it is recommended to empty the pump body of any water.
Turn the drain screw (6) anti-clockwise and remove from the pump body. This will
drain any excess water. Replace the drain screw (6) (Fig. 16).
Replacing the Air Filter
1. Remove the cover by unscrewing and removing the nut and plastic cover (Fig. 17).
2. Remove and inspect the filter. It must be intact and clean, if not, either clean or
replace the filter.
3. Replace the filter, filter cover and nut.
Removing, installing and inspecting the spark plug
1. Remove the spark plug cap (2).
2. Remove the spark plug using the spark plug socket wrench (18)
supplied (Fig. 18).
3. Clean the electrode with a metal brush and remove any carbon build-up.
4. Using a thickness gauge, check for the right gap (0.6-0.8mm) between the centre
electrode and side electrode (Fig. 19).
5. Refit the spark plug and tighten with the spark plug socket wrench (18) supplied.
