Fuelling
Motor fuel: mix at 40:1 only
Note. Only use unleaded 91 RON (Research Octane Number)
Note. Only use oil that is expressly labelled for use with air-cooled 2-stroke engines.
Note. Always transport and store fuels in an approved container.
1. Disconnect the spark plug cap (2) from the spark plug.
2. Fill the supplied mixing bottle (20) with unleaded petrol up to fuel line.
3. Add 2-stroke oil up to oil line. Shake vigorously for a thorough mix.
4. Unscrew and remove the fuel tank cap (1). Fill the fuel tank (3) with the 40:1 fuel
and oil mix (Fig. 9), then replace the fuel tank cap and clean any spillage.
5. Replace spark plug cap (2).
WARNING! Be sure to stop the engine before refuelling. A good quality fuel is the major issue for engine
reliability of operation.
WARNING! Do not over fill the fuel tank.
WARNING! Do not smoke while refuelling.
Pre Operation Inspections
Air Filter
The air filter (13) must always be in perfect working order, to prevent debris and dust from being sucked into the
engine thus reducing the efficiency and life of the machine.
1. Always keep the air filter (13) free of debris and in perfect working order.
2. If necessary, replace the filter with an original spare part. Incompatible filtering can impair the efficiency
and life of the engine.
3. Never start the engine without the air filter (13) assembled.
To change the air filter (13) refer to the maintenance section of this instruction manual (page 16).
