Cleaning and Care
Cleaning the ice cube tray
The ice cubes freeze in the ice cube
tray before they fall into the ice cube
drawer.
The ice cube tray is not removable and
can only be cleaned in place.
Clean the ice cube tray regularly
with warm water and some
dishwashing liquid to remove ice
and water residue.
Also empty and clean the ice cube
tray before turning it off for an
extended time.
^ Connect the appliance to the
electricity supply.
^ Be sure the upper freezer drawer is
completely closed and the ice cube
drawer is installed correctly.
^ To clean, activate the ice cube
maker's vacation state as follows:

Setting the ice cube maker to the
vacation state causes the tray to rotate
down with no water remaining in the
tray.
^ Touch the button for switching Super
Freeze on and off for 5 seconds.
The Super Freeze indicator ª to the
right of the display is on during this
time, and after 5 seconds S flashes in
the lower temperature display (freezer
section). The display shows MENU. You
are now in the settings mode.
^ Tap the button for setting the
temperature in the freezer section
until a flashing I appears in the lower
temperature display.
^ Touch the Super button again.
The following appears in the display:
– I 0 (Ice cube maker is turned on), or
– I I (Ice cube maker is turned off).
The ice cube maker does not need to
be turned on in order to set the
vacation state.
