4. Remove the service access cover (3). The service access cover is included in the Accessory Cover
Kit, spare part number 665924-001.
5. Release the shielding (1) that covers the battery cable and connector. (The shielding is attached to
the base enclosure with double-sided adhesive.)
6. Disconnect the battery cable (2) from the system board.
7. Remove the screw covers(3) that protect the battery retention screws.
8. Remove the two Torx T8M2.5×3.8 screws (4) that secure the battery to the computer.
