2.7 Flue system for Vitocrossal 300, 80 to 460 kW

Due to the low flue gas temperature, the
resulting lower up-draught and the con
tinued condensing of the flue gases in the
flue system, a pressure-tight, corrosion-
proof flue system is offered as an acces
sory for the Vitocrossal 300, 80 to 460 kW.
The flue gases are discharged from the
flue system with overpressure.
The flue system is suitably sized for the
Vitocrossal 300, constructed from suitable
materials, tested and approved for use
with condensing boilers.

The plastic flue pipes are suitable for a
max. flue gas temperature of 120 ºC.
Inside buildings, flue systems should only
be run within their own, vertically venti
lated stacks or ducting which conform to
the requirements for domestic chimney
stacks in accordance with DIN 18160-1
(February 1987 version), Section 4.4 to
4.9, or which possess a fire resistance
time of 90 minutes (F90/L90) and the
stated minimum internal stack dimen
sions.
The flue system must incorporate at least
one opening for inspection, cleaning and
pressure testing purposes.
If the flue pipe is not accessible from the
roof, a further inspection opening must
be provided behind the clean-out door of
the stack in the roof space.
The drainage of condensate from the flue
pipe to the boiler must be guaranteed by
a suitable gradient of at least 3º.
The flue system must be run to above
roof level.
If the flue system is to be installed in an
existing stack, any existing connection
openings must be closed off with a gas-
tight seal, using suitable materials, and
the inside surface of the stack must be
cleaned.
This does not apply to necessary clean-
out and inspection openings which are
provided with clean-out covers issued
with a test certificate.
2.7 Flue system
Please note:
Flue gas temperature protection is not
required in conjunction with the Vito
crossal 300 as the maximum permissible
flue gas temperature of 120 ºC is not ex
ceeded in any operating condition or in
the event of any malfunction.
Depending on the size of the stack,
spacers must be provided on the flue
pipe every 2 to 5 metres and at every
formed part (e.g. inspection pipe section
or bend).
