If a circuit breaker trips when you turn on the Lionel power supply, check the wheels of your locomotive to make sure they are all securely on the track. Check to make sure the track is free of all metals that may cause a short circuit.

The Velocity Throttle The Velocity Throttle (the red rotary knob on the bottom of your Lionel remote) is used to start your engine moving, slow it down, or speed it up. Use it simply by turning it clockwise (speed up) or counter-clockwise (slow down).

    Note that smoke-related errors can be reset a maximum of three times. On the third try, if the problem still persists, the smoke unit will be shut down and must be returned to Lionel Service for repair.
