Mechanical requirements for the FLX-60 pixel
Barco offers different carrying systems for the FLX-60 pixel such as the FLX-P50, FLX-P100, FLX-N100, etc. These standard FLX
carrying systems allows a creative, flexible, fast and easy set up of the FLX-60 pixels. The mechanical installation requirements
depend on the FLX carrying system used. Consult the installation manual, which comes with the FLX carrying systems, to know the
mechanical requirements of the FLX carrying system.
Next to the standard FLX carrying systems that Barco offers, you can design your own FLX carrying solution. The housing of the
FLX-60 pixel is equipped with snap-fits for fast and easy attachment to a support grid (frame). It's important to use the correct cutting
dimensions in the design of the support grid for optimal attachment of the FLX-60 pixel with the support grid. The illustrations below
show three different cutting dimensions for the FLX-60 pixel. For more information or help about FLX-60 pixel support grids, contact
Barco.
FLX-60 pixel cutting dimensions
You have three options to mount the FLX-60 pixel:
1.
Screw mount: This is a simple cut out which can be handy in case you can access the FLX-60 pixel from the back AND the
front. The screws (M4) can only be mounted at the front side. For cutting dimensions see image 2-1.
2.
Compact clip mount: Only front access is possible. To remove the FLX-60 pixel, just compress the mounting clips at the front
side and pull the pixel to the front. For cutting dimensions see image 2-2.
3.
Standard clip mount: Front & back access is possible. To remove the FLX-60 pixel via back access, just compress the
mounting clips at the rear of the FLX-60 pixel, then rotated and pulled backwards. It is recommended to disconnect the cable
from the FLX-60 pixel prior to removing the FLX-60 pixel. For cutting dimensions see image 2-3.
For clip mount, the metal plate where the pixel is mounted on, should be 1,5 mm thick. It is recommended to brush the support grid
with grain 120 to smooth away all burns. This will facilitate the snap in of the FLX-60 pixel.
