TO INCREASE TIRE LIFE
Check pressure regularly
Equalize wear by rotating
regularly
Avoid fast get-aways and
prolonged periods of high-
speed driving
Slow down when rounding
corners or sharp curves
Avoid extreme and unneces-
sary braking
Avoid sharp objects and
chuck holes in pavement
TIRE PRESSURE
Tires cold, all wheels. . ....... . 24 Ibs. "
An increase in tire pressure while driving
is normal. Reducing pressure to com-
pensate for this increase will cause under-
inflation and abnormal wear.
After moderate driving (tires warm,
city driving) . . ... .... ..... 27 Ibs.
After high-speed driving (tires hot) . . . . 29 lbs.
·Cold tire pressure for the rear tires of a fully-
loaded Station Wagon should be increased to
28 Ib,.
WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Misaligned wheels cause ab-
normal tire wear, roughness,
vibration and pull to the
side. For normal driving,
alignment should be checked
every 20,000 miles. Your
Dealer can easily check this
for you.

TIRE ROTATION
Tire life can be prolonged
by rotating all four wheels
and the spare after the first
4,000 miles and every 8,000
miles thereafter.
WHEEL BALANCING
Heavy spots on wheels or
tires tend to cause bouncing
and wobble, resulting in ab-
normal wear. Your Dealer
will be happy to prevent
this condition from occur-
ring by balancing your
wheels.
