This product generates radio frequency

The radio operator must have control of
the exposure conditions and duration of all persons exposed
to the antenna of this transmitter to satisfy FCC RF exposure
compliance. This device is not approved for general
population use.
It must only be used with authorized accessories and
antennas.
The operator must ensure that the minimum safe
distance of 0.9 m (35 inches) between persons and the
antenna is maintained during transmissions.
Do not exceed a duty cycle ratio of 50% transmit mode
to stand-by or receive modes. The radio is in transmit
mode when the PTT key on the microphone is pressed
and the transmit LED (light emitting diode) illuminates
on the control head display.

Your T2017 mobile radio is microprocessor controlled and

Powering On
Rotating the on/off/volume control clockwise turns on the
radio and increases volume.
Turn on the radio and rotate the on/off/volume control
clockwise, to about one third of its maximum setting. You
may need to finally set the volume level when you receive
you first call.
When the radio is powered on, the radio resumes
operation on the same channel that was selected prior to
the radio being powered off.

Making Calls
This section describes how to make a call from your T2017.
Transmitting

Select a channel.

Check that the channel is clear of traffic. There is
traffic on the channel if the busy LED is glowing,
although the radio's squelch feature may prevent you
from hearing it.

When the channel is clear, lift the microphone, press
the PTT key and speak into the microphone.

Once you have finished speaking, release the PTT key.

To receive calls on a single channel, ensure that the
