My computer never senses
that the Honda Compact
Navigation System is
connected.
I cannot find any drives
named "nuvi" in my list of
drives.
I keep getting a message
saying "Unsafe Removal of
Device" when I unplug the
USB cable.
How can I rename my "nuvi"
drives in Windows?

1. Unplug the USB cable from your computer.
2. Turn the unit off and then back on again.
3. Plug the USB cable into your computer.
The unit automatically goes into USB Mass
Storage Mode.
The unit cannot communicate with Windows
Windows 98, or Windows Me.
Try the solution listed above.
If you have several network drives mapped
on your computer, Windows may have trouble
assigning drive letters to your "nuvi" drives. Follow
the steps on the following page to assign your
drive letters.
To disconnect your unit from your computer,
double-click the
Unplug or Eject
system tray. Select "USB Mass Storage Device,"
and click Stop. Select the "nuvi" drives, and click
OK. Disconnect your unit from your computer.
1. Open My Computer.
2. Select the drive you want to rename.
3. Right-click your mouse and select
Rename.
4. Type the new name. Press the
95,
®
icon in your
Return
key.
