Automatic Vehicle Hold will release.

Press the switch to turn the system on. Press it again to
turn it off.
forward collision warninG
Alerts the driver with an alarm to apply the brakes when
rapidly approaching a slower moving, braking or stopped
vehicle ahead.

Center, under Settings.

rear parkinG assisTance sysTem
Uses sonar sensors in the rear bumper to sense objects
near the rear bumper. Activates when the transmission is
in Reverse.
On-screen guides show objects within approximately 6
feet, 4 feet and 1 foot. At 6 feet, the system sounds
warning beeps. The beeps get faster as the vehicle
approaches the object. If the object is less than 1 foot
away, the warning tone sounds continuously.
activation/operation
The system is automatic while in Reverse. There is a button on the center console to turn off the
system.
smarT cruise conTrol wiTh sTop/sTarT
Uses the front radar sensor. The system operates like
conventional cruise control on an open road to maintain
a set speed. When traffic appears ahead, the system's
radar senses the distance to vehicles in front,
automatically applies the brakes and gently slows the
vehicle to maintain a desired distance between the Sonata
and the vehicle ahead.
With the stop/start function, the Sonata will come to a
complete stop when Smart Cruise Control is engaged and
the vehicle ahead stops. The driver does not need to apply
the brakes. The Sonata will then restart if the vehicle ahead
starts within 3 seconds. Past 3 seconds, the Sonata can
resume speed by tapping the accelerator pedal or pressing the Resume button.
activation/operation
To use Smart Cruise Control, press the ON/OFF button on the steering wheel to turn cruise control
on. To switch between Smart Cruise Control and conventional cruise control, press and hold
the Smart Cruise Control button until the "CC Mode" message appears in the Multi Information
Display (MID). To return to Smart Cruise Control operation, press and hold the button again until
the "SCC Mode" message appears.
The system defaults to Distance 4, indicated by the four blue lines between vehicles in the gauge
cluster. Press the switch until your desired choice is displayed. For example, if you drive 55 mph,
Distance 4 is approximately 170 feet, Distance 3 is approximately 130 feet, Distance 2 is
approximately 100 feet, and Distance 1 is approximately 80 feet.
