auTomaTic hiGh beam assisT
Allows the driver to keep his eyes on the road and let
the headlights deliver maximum visibility without
accidentally blinding oncoming traffic. When selected,
Black (Try)
a forward-facing camera detects the headlights of an
oncoming vehicle, or the taillights of a vehicle being over-
taken, and automatically switches to low beams.
High beams return when the road is clear of other vehicles.
activation/operation
To activate Automatic High Beam Assist, place the headlight switch in "Auto" and push
the stalk forward, as you would for normal high beam use.
blind spoT deTecTion (bsd) sysTem
Helps monitor traffic around the car. The system uses
radar sensors in the rear bumper to warn the driver of a
vehicle, in the driver's "blind spot." The initial alert is
warning lights in the outside mirrors.
activation/operation
The system is turned on with a dash switch to the left of
the steering wheel.
lane chanGe assisT
Increases the blind spot monitoring area to the rear. Alerts
the driver to vehicles approaching at high speeds with an
audible alert and warning lights in the outside mirrors.
activation/operation
(Part of the Blind Spot Detection [BSD] system)
Brown
rear cross Traffic alerT (rcTa)
Alerts the driver to approaching vehicles, when backing
out of a parking space, with an audible alert and warning
lights in the outside mirrors.
Sensors can detect a moving vehicle as far away as 65
feet. The system will not consistently warn the driver of
smaller objects, such as pedestrians or shopping carts.
activation/operation
Managed through the gauge-cluster Vehicle
Information Center, under Settings. (Part of the Blind Spot
Detection [BSD] system)
