ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE (EPB)

Applying EPB
• Depress and hold the brake pedal
• Pull up the EPB switch
• Make sure the Parking Brake warning light
The EPB will automatically be applied when:
vehicle off while Auto Hold is enabled, parked on a slope, or with the
vehicle off in park but the vehicle still moves a bit.
Manual Release
• Depress and hold the brake pedal
• Press the EPB switch
• Make sure the Parking Brake warning light
Automatic Release
With the
vehicle
(Park) or N (Neutral) to R (Reverse) or D (Drive). Make sure the doors,
hood, and trunk are closed and the seat belt is fastened.

AUTO HOLD

The Auto Hold feature assists in
steep hill areas. It holds the brake
until the accelerator pedal is
pressed. Auto Hold maintains the
vehicle in a standstill even though the brake pedal is not depressed after
driver brings the vehicle to a complete stop by depressing the brake pedal.
WHITE
1. Press the AUTO HOLD switch.
Auto Hold indicator illuminates WHITE on instrument cluster.
GREEN
2. Stop the vehicle by pressing the brake pedal. The brakes will
remain engaged even if the brake pedal is released.
WHITE
3. The brakes will release when the accelerator pedal is pressed
with transmission in D, R or manual mode.
To cancel the AUTO HOLD operation, press the AUTO HOLD switch again.
