The furnaces are forced-air units fueled by LP gas. All furnaces
equipped with wall thermostats for ibdividual temperature settings.

The furnace will not operate properly if your stored personalitems block the
free flow of air at the registers or the return air totheiqrnace. Storage undel'
caqinets should be done carefully so as to not crush or damage the furnace
. duc'ting.
Smoke and fumes created as a result of burning off residual manufacturing
compounds are sometimes
pre~ent
the first time the furnace is useci. This is '
-normal; however, the initial light off should be done with windows and doors
open and be of adequate duration to completely burn offtheresidue.
WARNING
. Portable fuel-burning appliances. are not safe for
. heating inside the motor hqme.Asphyxiation or.
carbon monoxide poisoning can occur.
FURNACE FILTER
REPLAC~MENT
The furnace filter is installed in a wooctfilter box. On Models 39AF and
40VF it is located under the range/oven. On the 40VS it is located qnder the
washeraqd dryer cabinet.
