ventilator assembly and at the other end to a spring loaded,
variable opening ventilator valve at the intake
manifold.
A
second pipe is connected between the air cleaner and the
valve rocker cover or oil filler. Positive crankcase ventilation
is also provided with the optional Jobmaster 261 engine on
2-Ton models. Have this unit cleaned by an Authorized Chev-
rolet Dealer at regular intervals of 10,000 miles or less, de-
pending on operating conditions.
Fuel Pump and Strainer

Pump
Description. The fuel pump is
mounted on the right side of engine
(fig. 36) and is operated by an eccen-
tric on the engine camshaft. It pumps
fuel from the fuel tank and delivers
it to the carburetor. A fuel strainer
is located in the fuel
tank
at the
end of the pick-up pipe.
Care. The fuel pump should be
checked regularly to make sure the
mounting bolts, cover to body bolts, pulsator diaphragm cover
screws and inlet and outlet connections are tight.
Governor
Description. Governors are standard equipment on 2% ton
models and on the 1% ton and 2 ton school buses. They are
also available on other models as special equipment when
the truck is ordered, or through the dealer's service depart-
ment.
