6. Allow the vehicle to stop completely before shifting to reverse or to first gear
after reversing.
When starting the vehicle from rest, it is always advisable to use 1st gear not
only on slopes but also paved roads.
7. When climbing a slope, shift to a lower gear to relieve the engine from
overload before engine begins to strain.
