Installation Installing the Serial Card 1. Shut down all power connected to the computer, as well as all devices connected to the computer peripherally (i.e. Printers, Monitors, Scanners etc.). As an added step to ensure safe installation, unplug the power supply from the computer. 2. - Page 6 6. Following installation, please right-click on My Computer, and click Manage. Click on Device Manager to view installed components. Here, you will find the newly installed adapter and ports. Properties. Once the Properties window opens, click on the Data Rate tab. Here you will see a button labelled Detect Crystal Frequency. Click on the button to automatically detect the port data transfer capability. Please note that while PCI1S950DV only requires one such configuration, PCI2S950DV will require configuration for each separate port. -
