The top radio in the 2004 Golf is the RCD 500
with the following functions:
- Four loudspeaker channels (each 20 W)
- RDS FM/AM Europe Radio (AM without LW)

- Operation via multi-function steering wheel
and multi-function display
- Integrated 6 disc CD changer

MFD 2 radio navigation system
A radio system with an integrated navigation
system is also available for the Golf.
It is operated in much the same way as the radio
navigation system from the Touareg.

- Dynamic traffic route guidance
